The Stepping Stone program is designed for students in kindergarten through sixth grade and is held during the month of August for a period of four weeks. Students attending this program are those who have been identified as being able to benefit from additional help in the areas of reading, writing, and/or math. Our Stepping Stones staff includes 10 classroom teachers, 8 teacher assistants, a school nurse, 1 secretary and 6 bus drivers. Students in the program benefit from one-on-one and small group learning environments as they prepare for the coming school year. Each year our program grows. From 33 participants in 1997 to 140 students in the Summer of 2006, the Stepping Stones program allows us to make sure that each child reaches his/her truest learning potential. For questions and comments concerning the Stepping Stones program, contact Mr. Casey Kosiorek SS principal at 585-768-7115.
